Carly Vanorden recorded a shutout against the Rhode Island University of Rams as the Miami University RedHawks picked up an 8-0 win.

Miami University was led by Kathleen Baldwin, who had one goal. Baldwin scored 3:48 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Miami University. Lindsey Ellis assisted on the tally.

The RedHawks forced Rhode Island University of's netminders to work without much rest, launching 40 shots and forcing 32 saves. Sarah Ross made 18 stops and Sydney Collins made 14. Miami University's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Rhode Island University of power plays.

Miami University also got points from Rachael Booth, who also registered one goal and one assist, Alyssa Visalli, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Kaley Mooney, who also registered one goal and one assist, Katie Augustine, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Hayley Williams, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Miami University also had goals scored by Becca Senden and Cassidy Guthrie, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Miami University were Carly Noble, who had two and Caitlin Karpinski, Izzy Smith, Jessica Gould, and Jordan Hanson, who each chipped in one.

The Rams could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Rhode Island University of averages 4.7 goals per game.
