Miami University beats Robert Morris University (IL) 2-1 after comeback scare

The Robert Morris University (IL) Eagles tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Miami University RedHawks held on for a 2-1 victory.

A goal by Becca Senden put Miami University up 2-0 in the second period, but Robert Morris University (IL) pulled to within one on Makaila Anderson's tally 9:19 into the third period.

The RedHawks were sparked by Senden, who registered one goal. Senden scored 19:52 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Miami University. Nicole Matthews picked up the assist.

Miami University stifled the Eagles' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The RedHawks were held below their usual level of production.
