Miami University beats Minnesota University of 3-2 after comeback scareCU Student Rec Center Fri, Nov 07, 2014 The Minnesota University of Golden Gophers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Miami University RedHawks held on for a 3-2 victory. Miami University made the score 3-0 on a goal by Kathleen Baldwin at 9:55 in the second period, and Minnesota University of got as close as 3-2 when Shelby Parisian scored 11:47 into the third period. The RedHawks managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Miami University finished below its season average of 8.0 penalty minutes per game. The RedHawks did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season.
