Behind a great game by Becca Senden, who had two goals, the Miami University RedHawks defeated the Michigan University of Wolverines, 5-2.

Senden scored at 34 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Miami University and again while 1:19 into the second to make the score 3-0 Miami University.

Miami University did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The RedHawks put an average of 8.6 pucks into the net per game. Miami University forced Michigan University of goalie Kelsey Duggan to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. The RedHawks' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.
