Las Vegas Storm hangs on, beats Ontario Avalanche 2-0

Las Vegas Storm beat Ontario Avalanche, 2-0, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

A goal 19:06 into the first period by Moritz Matzka proved to be the game winner, and powered Las Vegas Storm to the victory. Nathan Fournier provided the assist.

Patrik Jokela spearheaded the defensive effort for Las Vegas Storm, as he did not allow a puck past him and made 58 saves for the shutout. Jokela certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 4.09 entering the contest.

Las Vegas Storm was led by Matzka, who registered one goal.
