Huge game by Liljeroos boosts Salt Lake City Moose over Colorado Evolution, 5-1Acord Ice Center Sat, Nov 15, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Jacob Liljeroos had one goal and three assists to lead Salt Lake City Moose to a 5-1 victory over Colorado Evolution. Liljeroos got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 55 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose had gained a power play chance when Maksims Resetnikovs was whistled for delay of game. Jonathan Svensson assisted on the tally. Liljeroos dished an assist on Jurijs Moiseicenko's goal that made the score 1-0 Salt Lake City Moose at 2:39 into the first period. He then added assists on Moiseicenko's goal at 10:47 into the second and on Erik Ahlen's goal at 14:37 into the third.Salt Lake City Moose kept Colorado Evolution's goalie busy throughout the game, and Resetnikovs made 37 saves on 42 shots. Salt Lake City Moose also got points from Ahlen, who also tallied one goal and two assists. Salt Lake City Moose also got a goal from Dmitry Kuznetsov as well. Other players who recorded assists for Salt Lake City Moose were Brett Myer, who had two and Charlie Granath and Ross Gann, who each chipped in one. Colorado Evolution was led by Nikita Sokov, who scored the team's only goal. Sokov scored on the power play 12:08 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Salt Lake City Moose. A unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Cole Corson had put Colorado Evolution on the power play. Dmitrijs Komarnickis picked up the assist. Ryan Gasparovic recorded 16 saves for Salt Lake City Moose. Salt Lake City Moose incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Colorado Evolution incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
