Colorado RoughRiders tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Ogden Mustangs held on for a 4-3 victory.

Ogden Mustangs made the score 4-2 on a goal by Schuyler Seyfert at 14:09 in the third period, and Colorado RoughRiders got as close as 4-3 when Christian Ramirez scored 19:09 into the third period.

Seyfert had two goals and two assists to lead Ogden Mustangs. Seyfert scored the first of his two goals short handed at 3:27 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Ogden Mustangs. Ogden Mustangs was on a disadvantage when Corey Iapalucci went off the ice for too many men. Clay Cross assisted on the tally. Seyfert's next tally short handed made the score 4-2 Ogden Mustangs with 5:51 left in the third period. Ogden Mustangs had gotten the advantage when Colorado RoughRiders' Hunter Behrens was sent off for high sticking. Andreas Zollner provided the assist.

Ogden Mustangs stifled Colorado RoughRiders' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Colorado RoughRiders was unable to stop Ogden Mustangs from sending pucks towards the net, and Ogden Mustangs eventually piled up 46 shots on goal.

David Clements also scored for Ogden Mustangs. In addition, Ogden Mustangs received assists from Ilya Bobko, who had two and Taylor Bowman and Edvin Johansson, who contributed one each.

Colorado RoughRiders was helped by Padraic Ripple, who finished with one goal. Ripple scored 2:22 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Ogden Mustangs. Colorado RoughRiders also got a goal from Walker Harris as well. More assists for Colorado RoughRiders came via Nick Kukuris, Tanner Doty, and Martin Bakula, who each chipped in one.

Andreas Pettersson made 20 saves for Ogden Mustangs on 23 shots. Ogden Mustangs incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Sean Cuscaden recorded 42 saves for Colorado RoughRiders. Colorado RoughRiders incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
