Losev's goals lift Idaho Junior Steelheads to 6-1 victory over Lake Tahoe Blue

Idaho Junior Steelheads relied on the scoring touch of Oleg Losev, who netted two goals, to beat Lake Tahoe Blue, 6-1.

Losev scored at 7:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Idaho Junior Steelheads and again while 14:35 into the first to make the score 2-0 Idaho Junior Steelheads.

Idaho Junior Steelheads' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Lake Tahoe Blue power plays. Idaho Junior Steelheads' offense rang up 46 shots on Lake Tahoe Blue's net.

Idaho Junior Steelheads also had goals scored by Kyle Smith, Robert Neuwirth, Hunter Lester, and Dimitris Jones, who scored one goal each. More assists for Idaho Junior Steelheads came via Hunter Cyr, Phil Fromberger, Macky Power, Elliot Lorraine, Alex Randazzo, and Alex Criswell, who each chipped in one and Ondrej Valo and Victor Carlsson, who contributed two each.

Lake Tahoe Blue stifled Idaho Junior Steelheads' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Lake Tahoe Blue's offense operated below its season average. Lake Tahoe Blue puts an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game. Lake Tahoe Blue's offense was handcuffed by Idaho Junior Steelheads' defensive play, and Lake Tahoe Blue managed only eight shots on goal during the game.
