In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Cheyenne Stampede escaped with a 5-4 victory over Colorado Eagles.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Craig Thurston at 17:55 of the third period.

Nolan Kinney was all over the ice for Cheyenne Stampede, as he finished with two goals in the win. Kinney scored on the power play at 9:59 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Cheyenne Stampede and again while 3:54 into the third to make the score 4-3 Cheyenne Stampede.
