Oklahoma City Blazers blows out Dallas Snipers, 8-4

Oklahoma City Blazers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-4 win over Dallas Snipers.

Dominik Vlk had two goals and two assists to lead Oklahoma City Blazers. Vlk scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 18:19 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Oklahoma City Blazers. Oklahoma City Blazers had gained a power play chance when Carl Sandsten was whistled for hooking. Drake Johnson provided the assist. Vlk's next tally on the power play made the score 6-2 Oklahoma City Blazers with 18:46 left in the third period. Petr Kobes assisted on the tally.

Oklahoma City Blazers forced Dallas Snipers' goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, firing 35 shots and forcing 27 saves. Renaud Gaboury made 17 stops and Drew Stuve made 10.

Oklahoma City Blazers additionally got points from Matt Levene, who also finished with two goals and one assist, Kobes, who also had one goal and two assists, and Kirill Romanov, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Oklahoma City Blazers also had goals scored by Hunter Smith and Kole Hudson, who each put in one. In addition, Oklahoma City Blazers received assists from Pavel Oxiouta, who had three and Jared Guffey, Matthew Audette, and Lubos Vacek, who each chipped in one.

Dallas Snipers' offense rang up 31 shots on Oklahoma City Blazers' net.

Dallas Snipers was led by Alexander Yunanov, who registered one goal and one assist. Yunanov scored 13:11 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Oklahoma City Blazers. Cameron Neufeld picked up the assist. Others who scored for Dallas Snipers included Justin Becton, Jean Cobo, and Yevgeni Nikolaev, who scored one goal each. More assists for Dallas Snipers came via Peter Kutlak, Pavol Kotzman, and Dusan Olsa, who contributed one each.

Austin Kirby recorded 27 saves for Oklahoma City Blazers. Oklahoma City Blazers incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Dallas Snipers incurred 48 minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Dallas Snipers, Trent Williams was ejected from the game.
