Huge game by Evans boosts Whitefish Wolverines over Seattle Totems, 3-1

Behind a great game by Kristian Evans, who had two goals and one assist, Whitefish Wolverines defeated Seattle Totems, 3-1.

Evans scored on the power play at 16:54 into the third period to make the score 2-0 Whitefish Wolverines and again while 19:59 into the third to make the score 3-1 Whitefish Wolverines.

Whitefish Wolverines' Brendan Schultz was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 33 saves and let only one puck past him. Schultz certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.19 entering the contest.

Whitefish Wolverines stifled Seattle Totems' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Whitefish Wolverines additionally got points from Aleksei Garin, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Whitefish Wolverines came via Chris Cutshall and Danny Roe, who each chipped in one.

Seattle Totems could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Seattle Totems averages 3.4 goals per game. Whitefish Wolverines was unable to stop Seattle Totems from sending pucks towards the net, and Seattle Totems eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Seattle Totems was led by Erik Danna, who scored the team's only goal. Danna scored 19:23 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Whitefish Wolverines. Marek Nemec picked up the assist.

Whitefish Wolverines incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Alek Lazarski rejected 24 shots on goal for Seattle Totems. Seattle Totems incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
