Behind a great game by Chase Thesman, who had two goals and one assist, Valencia Flyers defeated Las Vegas Storm, 5-2. Thesman found the back of the net on the power play 3:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Valencia Flyers and again while 19:46 into the third to make the score 5-2 Valencia Flyers.Valencia Flyers pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 37 penalty minutes. Valencia Flyers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Las Vegas Storm to score on any of its six power plays. Valencia Flyers' offense rang up 51 shots on Las Vegas Storm's net. Valencia Flyers also got points from Evan Johnson, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Valencia Flyers also had goals scored by Blake Agular and Jason Hart, who scored one goal each. In addition, Valencia Flyers received assists from Eddie Cordero, who had two, Niklas Giers, who had three, and Ray Wilson and Jared Waldman, who contributed one each. Las Vegas Storm was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled 11 minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. Las Vegas Storm was helped by Vincent Dekumbis, who racked up one goal. Dekumbis scored 9:27 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Nikita Tsvetov picked up the assist. Las Vegas Storm also got a goal from Kyle Pacheco as well. More assists for Las Vegas Storm came via Felix Brunner, who had one. Silvan Delb made 15 saves for Valencia Flyers on 17 shots. Valencia Flyers registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Gernot Wegerer recorded 46 saves for Las Vegas Storm.
