Agular leads Valencia Flyers over Las Vegas Storm, 6-0

Behind a great game by Blake Agular, who had two goals and two assists, Valencia Flyers defeated Las Vegas Storm, 6-0.

Agular scored at 3:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Valencia Flyers and again while 14:45 into the third to make the score 4-0 Valencia Flyers.

Valencia Flyers' penalty kill excelled, as Valencia Flyers gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.

Valencia Flyers stifled Las Vegas Storm's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Valencia Flyers was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. Valencia Flyers allows 3.0 goals per game. Valencia Flyers kept Las Vegas Storm's goalie busy throughout the game, and Patrik Jokela made 52 saves on 58 shots. Valencia Flyers' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Valencia Flyers also got points from Ray Wilson, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Jared Waldman, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Valencia Flyers also got a goal from Tyler Lazarek as well. Other players who recorded assists for Valencia Flyers were Niklas Giers, who had two and Eddie Cordero, Greg Figg, Jason Hart, and Chase Thesman, who each chipped in one.

Las Vegas Storm did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Las Vegas Storm puts an average of 2.6 pucks into the net per game. Las Vegas Storm's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Las Vegas Storm finished with 28 penalty minutes.

Ole Nilsen recorded 15 saves for Valencia Flyers. Valencia Flyers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
