Southern Oregon Spartans' Mackenzie Wood had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-2 win over Butte Cobras.

Southern Oregon Spartans forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up nine minors and five majors for 83 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 33.0 minutes per game Southern Oregon Spartans had been spending in the box. Southern Oregon Spartans forced Butte Cobras' netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, firing 53 shots and forcing 48 saves. Tor Tornquist made 11 stops and Justin Keener made 37. For Southern Oregon Spartans, Elder and Logan Myers were ejected from the contest.
