Fresno Monsters pulls away in second, rolls over Arizona Redhawks, 11-0

Fresno Monsters used a six-goal second period to put away Arizona Redhawks, 11-0.

Evan Ingram was all over the ice for Fresno Monsters, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Ingram scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 2:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Fresno Monsters. Fresno Monsters had gained a power play chance when Gustav Parson was whistled for hooking. Mike Nolan picked up the assist. Ingram's next tally on the power play made the score 9-0 Fresno Monsters with 10:09 left in the third period. Nolan provided the assist.

Fresno Monsters forced Arizona Redhawks' goalies to work without much rest, firing 62 shots and forcing 51 saves. Henrik Liljestrand made 43 stops and Travis MsGill made eight. Fresno Monsters bested its season scoring average. This season, Fresno Monsters averages 6.0 goals per contest.

Fresno Monsters additionally got points from Jacob Haynes, who also registered three goals and two assists to lead the team in points, Brantt Heble, who also tallied one goal and three assists, and Austin Browning, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Fresno Monsters also had goals scored by Carter Dahl, Michael Freeman, Kyle Baker, and Conner Hyden, who scored one goal each. In addition, Fresno Monsters received assists from Mitchell Dolman, who had one and Jonathan Bengtsson, who had two.

Arizona Redhawks did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 12 shots on net to force 12 saves.

Austin Piquette made 12 saves for Fresno Monsters on 12 shots. Fresno Monsters ended with no penalties and went 1-for-2 on the power play. Arizona Redhawks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
