Colorado Eagles falls to Ogden Mustangs in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Ogden Mustangs pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over Colorado Eagles on a clutch goal by Jon Mencer.

Ogden Mustangs was sparked by Mencer, who had one goal and one assist. Mencer scored 4:12 into overtime to make the score 4-3 Ogden Mustangs. David Clements assisted on the tally.

Ogden Mustangs forced Colorado Eagles goalie Quinn Wold to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots.

Ogden Mustangs also got points from Andreas Zollner, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Ogden Mustangs included Alex Forbes and Edvin Johansson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Ogden Mustangs were Jakob Engvall, Corey Iapalucci, and Schuyler Seyfert, who each chipped in one.

Colorado Eagles' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Ogden Mustangs power plays. Colorado Eagles' offense rang up 39 shots on Ogden Mustangs' net.

Colorado Eagles was led by Tyler Weber, who registered one goal and one assist. Weber scored on the power play 9:02 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Colorado Eagles. Colorado Eagles earned a power play opportunity when Zollner was put in the box for cross checking. Ben Gundry picked up the assist. Colorado Eagles also had goals scored by Brad Pershing and Scott Smoot, who each put in one. In addition, Colorado Eagles received assists from MacGregor Haddon, who had one and Cade Warner, who had two.
