Colorado RoughRiders pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over Salt Lake City Moose on a clutch goal by Cody Oakes. Colorado RoughRiders overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Colorado RoughRiders was down 3-1 after a goal by Salt Lake City Moose's Brett Howard at 17:04 in the third period. Colorado RoughRiders tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Nick Kuhn at 18:47 in the third period. Salt Lake City Moose's power play was ineffective against Colorado RoughRiders' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. Colorado RoughRiders' offense rang up 37 shots on Salt Lake City Moose's net. Colorado RoughRiders also had goals scored by Gian Cervo and Thayne Trumbull, who each put in one. In addition, Colorado RoughRiders received assists from Walker Harris, who had two and Hunter Behrens, Tanner West, Sage Dugas, and August Arjes, who contributed one each. Salt Lake City Moose put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Colorado RoughRiders to score on any of its four power plays. Salt Lake City Moose had gotten the advantage when Colorado RoughRiders' Oakes was sent off for boarding. Jurijs Moiseicenko assisted on the tally. Brett Myer also scored for Salt Lake City Moose. Other players who recorded assists for Salt Lake City Moose were Ross Gann, Dylan Canoy, Cole Corson, and Jonathan Svensson, who each chipped in one. Kirill Pustovalov rejected 24 shots on goal for Colorado RoughRiders. Colorado RoughRiders incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
