Casper Coyotes wins tough contest against Colorado Eagles, 3-2

The Casper Coyotes Coyote gutted out a close 3-2 win against Colorado Eagles.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and ERIK STENBACKA secured the win for Casper Coyotes with a goal in the second period.

The Coyote were led by STENBACKA, who finished with one goal. STENBACKA scored on the power play 11:36 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Casper Coyotes. Casper Coyotes earned a power play opportunity when MacGregor Haddon was put in the box for cross checking. KASPER ELO picked up the assist.

The Coyote managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Casper Coyotes finished below its season average of 23.0 penalty minutes per game.

Casper Coyotes additionally got points from BRADY GRIFFIN, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and ELO, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Casper Coyotes came via LUKE ERICKSON and TONI HAIKARAINEN, who contributed one each.

The Coyote were unable to stop Colorado Eagles from sending pucks towards the net, and Colorado Eagles eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Colorado Eagles was led by Tyler Weber, who registered one goal and one assist. Weber scored 4:55 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Colorado Eagles. Ben Gundry assisted on the tally. Colorado Eagles also got a goal from Tanner Ulland as well.

RIKARD LANDFELDT made 33 saves for Casper Coyotes on 35 shots. The Coyote registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Colorado Eagles' Quinn Wold stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Colorado Eagles incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
