Seattle Totems wins tough contest against Butte Cobras, 5-3Olympic View Sun, Sep 21, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The game between Seattle Totems and Butte Cobras was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Seattle Totems emerged with a 5-3 win. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Braden Stratton's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. Seattle Totems was paced on offense by Erik Danna and August Cnattingius, who combined for five points. Danna grabbed two goals and one assist and Cnattingius also added two goals. Seattle Totems pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 30 penalty minutes. Seattle Totems kept Butte Cobras' goalie busy throughout the game, and Tor Tornquist made 39 saves on 44 shots. Seattle Totems also got points from Stratton, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Butte Cobras stifled Seattle Totems' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Seattle Totems was unable to stop Butte Cobras from sending pucks towards the net, and Butte Cobras eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Butte Cobras was led by Anton Zimmer, who registered two goals and one assist. Zimmer scored the first of his two goals at 3:41 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Zach Steuck picked up the assist. Zimmer's next tally made the score 3-3 with 8:32 left in the third period. Butte Cobras earned a power play opportunity when Jon Crosbie was put in the box for hooking. PJ Siliveria assisted on the tally. Butte Cobras additionally got points from Siliveria, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Butte Cobras received assists from Brock Solomon and Noakes Gordon, who contributed one each. Seattle Totems' Alec Lazarski stopped 39 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Seattle Totems registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. Butte Cobras incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
