Seattle Totems wins tough contest against Butte Cobras, 5-3Olympic View Fri, Sep 19, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Seattle Totems escaped with a 5-3 victory over Butte Cobras. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and August Cnattingius's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker. Cnattingius was all over the ice for Seattle Totems, as he registered two goals in the win. Seattle Totems stifled Butte Cobras' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Seattle Totems forced Butte Cobras goalie Justin Keener to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. Seattle Totems also got points from Marek Nemec, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Adam Alfoldy also scored for Seattle Totems. In addition, Seattle Totems received assists from Axel Martensson, who had three and Erik Danna, who had four. Butte Cobras kept Seattle Totems' goalie busy throughout the game, and Alec Lazarski made 41 saves on 44 shots. Butte Cobras was helped by Kevin Philbin, who tallied one goal. Philbin scored 1:30 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Anton Zimmer provided the assist. Others who scored for Butte Cobras included Danny Armstrong and Brock Solomon, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Butte Cobras were Chadd Lounder, who had two and PJ Siliveria and Josh Smith, who each chipped in one. Seattle Totems incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Justin Keener made 44 saves for Butte Cobras on 49 shots. Butte Cobras incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
