Campbellford erases deficit to stun Amherstview, 3-2

The Amherstview Jets could not hold down the Campbellford Rebels, and Rebels erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 3-2 win.

Campbellford never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Rebels fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Amherstview's Jordan Howe at 1:11 in the second period. Campbellford tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Colin Doyle at 7:27 in the second period. The Rebels scored the game winner at 5:30 in the third period on a goal by Doyle.

Campbellford's penalty kill excelled, as the Rebels gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

Campbellford was led by Jeremiah Doherty, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Campbellford additionally got points from Doyle, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Etinene Pelleteir also scored for Campbellford. More assists for Campbellford came via Jon Samis, who had three.

Amherstview also got points from Brett Yake, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Amherstview received assists from Jag Masters and Cassidy Bruni, who each chipped in one.

Cole Mahoney made 26 saves for the Rebels on 28 shots. Campbellford incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Jets' Ryan Kaszuba stopped 21 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Amherstview incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
