Kaszuba, Amherstview blank Campbellford, 3-0

Ryan Kaszuba was superb between the pipes for the Amherstview Jets, as he did not allow a goal in a 3-0 victory over the Campbellford Rebels.

Amherstview was led by Cody Smith, who grabbed one goal. Smith scored on the power play 16:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Amherstview. The Jets had taken the advantage when Campbellford's Mitch Burke got sent off for cross checking. Brody Taylor provided the assist.

Amherstview's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Campbellford power plays. The Jets forced the Rebels goalie Cole Mahoney to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Amherstview also got points from Jesse Stone, who also registered one goal and one assist. Cam Blakeley also scored for Amherstview. In addition, Amherstview received assists from Max Brunner, who had one.

Campbellford could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Rebels put an average of 4.0 pucks into the net per game. Campbellford's offense rang up 45 shots on Amherstview's net. The Rebels were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 24 penalty minutes.

The Jets' Kaszuba stopped 45 shots out of the 45 that he faced. Amherstview incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Cole Mahoney made 36 saves for Campbellford on 39 shots.
