The Wheatley Sharks tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Amherstburg Admirals held on for a 6-5 victory. Amherstburg made the score 6-4 on a goal by Jordan Luciw at 18:45 in the third period, and Wheatley got as close as 6-5 when Jimmy Ciacelli scored 19:24 into the third period. The Admirals' offense rang up 46 shots on the Sharks' net. Amherstburg was helped by Mark Gangnon, who had three goals. Amherstburg also got points from Luciw, who also grabbed two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Amherstburg also got a goal from Cody Leeming as well. More assists for Amherstburg came via James Brooks, who had two and Curtis Prymack, Marshal Laing, Dan Matoski, and Brett Beattie, who contributed one each. Wheatley was helped by Jesse Margerison, who racked up one goal. Margerison scored 16:35 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Brett Bowman assisted on the tally. Wheatley additionally got points from Ciacelli, who also registered one goal and one assist and Bowman, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Wheatley also had goals scored by Matthew Barnes and Austin Thompson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Wheatley received assists from Layne Gouin, Riley Enns, Dylan Enns, Lucas Raffoul, and Antonio Ciampa, who each chipped in one. Arren Romeril recorded 23 saves for the Admirals. Amherstburg incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Conner MacKinnon made 40 saves for the Sharks on 45 shots. Wheatley incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
