The Flyers were sparked by Zach VanEyk, who registered one goal. VanEyk scored on the power play 8:46 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Alvinston. Alvinston had taken the advantage when Blenheim's Kirk McKillop got sent off for tripping. Berg picked up the assist.

The Flyers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Blenheim power plays. Alvinston was held below its usual level of production. The Flyers put an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game.

The Blades did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Blenheim averages 2.9 goals per game.
