Lakeshore survives Wallaceburg comeback, wins 3-1Wallaceburg Memorial Arena Mon, Dec 29, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Wallaceburg Lakers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Lakeshore Canadiens held on for a 3-1 victory. A goal by Cameron MacDougall put Lakeshore up 3-0 in the second period, but Wallaceburg pulled to within two on Alex Ritchie's tally 37 seconds into the third period. The Canadiens pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 16 penalty minutes. Lakeshore forced the Lakers goalie Scotty Gray to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The Canadiens were led by Aaron Moore, who had one goal and one assist. Moore scored 10:30 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Lakeshore. Zack Bedard picked up the assist. Lakeshore also got a goal from Hunter Corp as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lakeshore were Nick Tavolieri, JJ Percy, and Liam MacDougall, who each chipped in one. More assists for Wallaceburg came via Matt Clark and Evan Weidenbach, who contributed one each. Colin Tetreault made 14 saves for Lakeshore on 15 shots. The Canadiens registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Gray recorded 34 saves for Wallaceburg. The Lakers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. |
