The Amherstburg Admirals tried their best to erase a four-goal deficit, but the Alvinston Flyers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3. A goal by Zach VanEyk put Alvinston up 4-0 in the third period, but Amherstburg pulled to within one on James Brooks's tally 20:00 into the third period. The Flyers pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 20 penalty minutes. Alvinston forced the Admirals goalie Arren Romeril to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots. The Flyers were helped by Kole Keating, who had one goal. Keating scored on the power play 9:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Alvinston. Alvinston earned a power play opportunity when Mark Gangnon was put in the box for roughing. Joe Archer assisted on the tally. Alvinston also got points from Brady Swan, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Alvinston came via Dylan Ryan, Cole Harris, Eric Marsh, Karsten Berg, and Chad Rainsberry, who each chipped in one. Amherstburg kept the Flyers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brett Avery made 32 saves on 35 shots. The Admirals found themselves short handed often, totaling 24 penalty minutes and allowing eight power plays. Amherstburg additionally got points from Mark Sobocan, who also racked up one goal and one assist. In addition, Amherstburg received assists from Cody Leeming and Chad Copeland, who contributed one each. Romeril rejected 34 shots on goal for Amherstburg. The Admirals registered one goal on eight power play opportunities.
