Kincardine falls to Hanover after surprising comeback

The Hanover Barons rallied from two goals down to secure a 5-4 win over the Kincardine Bulldogs.

Hanover never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Barons trailed 4-2 after a short handed goal by Kincardine's Brycin Morrison at 13:48 in the second period. Hanover tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Ben Watson at 9:34 in the third period. The Barons scored the game winner at 19:59 in the third period on a goal by Watson.

Tyson Soers had two goals to lead Hanover to victory.

The Barons forced the Bulldogs goalie Mitch Campbell to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Hanover additionally got points from Greg Buchanan, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Brodie Lemay also scored for Hanover. Other players who recorded assists for Hanover were Colton Culbert, Justin D Graham, Denver Hill, Lucas Johnson, and Jarrett Kuntz, who each chipped in one.

Kincardine kept Hanover's goalie busy throughout the game, and Gord Walmsley made 28 saves on 32 shots.

Others who scored for Kincardine included Luke Inglis, Shawn Moore, and Patrick Wiejak, who scored one goal each. In addition, Kincardine received assists from Dalton Hnatko, Jordan Bell, Gerrit Satosek, Brady Richards, Matt Baker, and Sam Feagan, who contributed one each.

The Barons incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Campbell recorded 31 saves for the Bulldogs. Kincardine incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. For the Bulldogs, Richards was ejected from the game.
