The Mount Forest Patriots tried to dig themselves out of a four-goal hole, but the Kincardine Bulldogs held on for a 5-4 victory. Kincardine made the score 5-1 on a goal by Brycin Morrison at 18:44 in the second period, and Mount Forest got as close as 5-4 when Ian Bridgwater scored 12:27 into the third period. The Bulldogs kept the Patriots' goalie busy throughout the game, and John Nixon made 28 saves on 33 shots. Kincardine was helped by Patrick Wiejak, who racked up one goal. Wiejak scored 10:38 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Kincardine. Jordan Bell picked up the assist. Kincardine additionally got points from Bell, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Kincardine also had goals scored by Brady Richards and Shawn Moore, who each put in one. More assists for Kincardine came via Luke Inglis, who had two and Gerrit Satosek, Mike Smailes, and Derrick Bernath, who each chipped in one. Mount Forest stifled the Bulldogs' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Doug Ardis also scored for Mount Forest. In addition, Mount Forest received assists from #$self.jersey, Kyle Hunter, Brady Becker, Todd Greer, and Mitch Betts, who contributed one each. Kincardine's Luke Aulthouse stopped 25 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Bulldogs totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-5 on the power play. For Kincardine, Richards was ejected from the game. The Patriots totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Mount Forest ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Luke Richardson was ejected from the game.
