Kincardine downs Mitchell in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Kincardine Bulldogs' Shawn Moore scored 2:35 into overtime to beat the Mitchell Hawks, 3-2 (OT).

Kincardine almost relinquished a two-score lead. The Bulldogs made it 2-0 on a goal by Patrick Wiejak at 10:09 in the second period. Mitchell got to within 2-1 on a goal by Wil Marcy at 2:16 in the third period.

Kincardine was led by Moore, who had one goal.

The Bulldogs' offense rang up 33 shots on the Hawks' net.

Brady Richards also scored for Kincardine. In addition, Kincardine received assists from Chad Simpson and Luke Czuczman, who each chipped in one.

Mitchell's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Kincardine power plays.

Mitchell also got a goal from Greg Orr as well. Other players who recorded assists for Mitchell were Ethan Adair, Trevor Skinner, Kyle Spence, and Trevor MacDonald, who contributed one each.

Mitch Campbell made 25 saves for Kincardine on 27 shots. The Bulldogs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Keaton Weiss recorded 30 saves for the Hawks. Mitchell incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
