The Mitchell Hawks and the Kincardine Bulldogs skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

Kincardine found itself down againt Mitchell, but battled back to secure to a 3-3 (OT) tie.

The Hawks forced the Bulldogs goalie Luke Aulthouse to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.

Mitchell was helped by Josh Den Otter, who finished with one goal. Den Otter scored 1:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mitchell. Trent Dundas picked up the assist. Mitchell additionally got points from Kyle Spence, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Mitchell also got a goal from Jake Finlayson as well. In addition, Mitchell received assists from Greg Orr, Trevor Skinner, and Tyler Pauli, who contributed one each.

Kincardine kept the Hawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Clay Carter made 31 saves on 34 shots.

The Bulldogs were led by Sam Feagan, who registered one goal and one assist. Feagan scored on the power play 15:19 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Mitchell. Kincardine had gained a power play chance when Scott Fries was whistled for roughing after whistle. Chad Simpson provided the assist. Kincardine also got points from Simpson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Jordan Bell also scored for Kincardine. More assists for Kincardine came via Dalton Hnatko, Mike Osadca, and Derrick Bernath, who each chipped in one.

Mitchell incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Hawks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ethan Adair was ejected from the game. Aulthouse recorded 37 saves for the Bulldogs. Kincardine incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
