Brodie Smith lifted the Paris Mounties to a 4-1 victory with a hat trick against the Burford Bulldogs. Smith's first goal came 8:04 into the second period. He then added goals at 12:48 into the second and at 19 seconds into the third.Paris was led by goalie Davis McLean, who finished with 29 saves while allowing one goal. McLean managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.22 prior to the game. The Mounties stifled Burford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Paris forced the Bulldogs goalie Michael Black to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The Mounties could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. Paris also got points from Clayton Chalmers, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Paris received assists from Andrew Heibein, who had two and Zack Skubnik, Brady Wheelans, Brett Wilson, and Alex Ritchie, who contributed one each. Burford did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Bulldogs put an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game. Burford was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 42 penalty minutes. The Bulldogs were led by Jesse Brooks, who scored the team's only goal. Brooks scored 1:34 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Adam Harris assisted on the tally. Paris registered three goals on nine power play opportunities. Michael Black made 33 saves for Burford on 37 shots. The Bulldogs registered zero goals on eight power play opportunities.
