The Norwich Merchants used a sparkling performance by Jesse Schoeman to take down the Burford Bulldogs, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Norwich's 3-0 shutout victory.

The Merchants were sparked by Derek Slaght, who finished with one goal and one assist. Slaght scored 3:15 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Norwich. Drake Morrell assisted on the tally.

Norwich's defensive play was more effective than usual against Burford. The Merchants allow 3.0 goals per game. Norwich kept the Bulldogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Riley Edwards made 28 saves on 31 shots.
