The Paris Mounties, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by the Tavistock Braves and clinched a 3-1 victory. Paris led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Mounties' Brodie Smith scored on the power play at 4:50 in the second period to put Paris up 3-0. The Mounties got the win behind a great game by Smith, who had two goals and one assist. Smith scored the first of his two goals at 10:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Paris. Brady Wheelans provided the assist. Smith's next tally made the score 3-0 Paris with 15:10 left in the second period. Paris earned a power play opportunity when Ben Larder was put in the box for unsportsmanlike conduct. Andrew Heibein picked up the assist. Tavistock's power play was ineffective against the Mounties' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. Paris excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances. The Mounties were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 36 penalty minutes. Brian Mueller also scored for Paris. More assists for Paris came via Mitchell Harvey, who had one. The Braves could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game. Tavistock was led by Matthew Lupton, who scored the team's only goal. Lupton scored 19:43 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Paris. Braedon Hancock assisted on the tally. Zach Shomphe rejected 20 shots on goal for Paris. The Mounties registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. The Braves' starting goalie, Ben Larder, made 11 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Kyle Sephton, who stopped 12 shots.
