Huge game by Harris boosts Burford over Wellesley, 7-4

Adam Harris had two goals and one assist to lead the Burford Bulldogs to a 7-4 victory over the Wellesley Applejacks.

Harris' tallies came at 13:49 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Burford and 2:56 into the third to make the score 4-3 Burford.

Burford forced Wellesley's netminders to work all game long, ripping 42 shots and forcing 35 saves. Keaton Weiss made 33 stops and Tim Bester made two. The Bulldogs' goal total was higher than their season average. Burford averages 3.5 goals per game.

Burford additionally got points from Broidy Rondelet, who also registered one goal and two assists, Kyle Walker, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Jesse Brooks, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Mitch Randell, who also had one goal and one assist. Burford also got a goal from Mark McGregor as well. In addition, Burford received assists from Alex Hall, Connor Merritt, and Blaise Burtnick, who contributed one each.

The Bulldogs were unable to stop the Applejacks from sending pucks towards the net, and Wellesley eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

The Applejacks were led by Cal Jefferies, who registered three goals and one assist. Jacob Younger also scored for Wellesley. More assists for Wellesley came via Tyler Seguin, who had three and Matt Schieck and Chris Beauchesne, who each chipped in one.

Riley Edwards rejected 34 shots on goal for Burford. The Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Wellesley incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
