Early goals doom Delhi, falls to Ayr, 14-2

The Delhi Travellers fell behind early, and the Ayr Centennials kept piling on the points on the way to a 14-2 victory.

Ayr got the win with help from a great game by Colin Schuringa, who had two goals and one assist. Schuringa scored the first of his two goals at 16:47 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Ayr. Coleton Madge provided the assist. Schuringa's next tally made the score 13-2 Ayr with 1:37 left in the third period. Andrew Richard assisted on the tally.

The Centennials forced Travellers' goalies to work between the pipes, racking up 62 shots and forcing 48 saves. Mike Harrison made 31 stops and Patrick Tanner made 17. Ayr surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Centennials average 6.0 goals per game.

Ayr also got points from Austin Sine, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Jackson White, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Quinn Diamond, who also registered two goals and two assists, Josh Woznica AP, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Richard, who also finished with two goals and one assist, and Brendan Schaefer, who also had three goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Felix Lantaigne also scored for Ayr. Other players who recorded assists for Ayr were Noah Monteiro, who had two, Mackenzie Kemp, Kevan Hadad, Jake Whibbs, Carver Ormiston, and Sean Mitchell, who contributed one each, and Will Lochner and Riley Clipper, who each chipped in three.

Brayden Bruce rejected 19 shots on goal for Ayr. The Centennials incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Delhi incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
