The Delhi Travellers fell behind early, and the New Hamburg Firebirds kept piling on the points on the way to a 13-2 victory. New Hamburg got the win on the strength of a great game by Quinten Haddock, who had one goal and two assists. Haddock scored 8:54 into the first period to make the score 2-0 New Hamburg. Jerry Ennett picked up the assist. The Firebirds forced Delhi's netminders to work in net, firing 51 shots and forcing 38 saves. Mike Harrison made 20 stops and Patrick Tanner made 18. New Hamburg excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Firebirds outdid their season average for goals scored. New Hamburg has scored at the pace of 4.6 goals per game during the current campaign. The Firebirds' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.
