The Wellesley Applejacks' Reid Denstedt scored 3:23 into overtime to beat the Delhi Travellers, 2-1 (OT). Wellesley's penalty kill excelled, as the Applejacks gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. Wellesley was led by Denstedt, who finished with one goal. The Applejacks racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and one major for 47 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 28.0 minutes per game Wellesley had been spending in the box. The Applejacks stifled Delhi's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Wellesley kept the Travellers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Mike Harrison made 45 saves on 47 shots. Wellesley also got a goal from Matt Schieck as well. More assists for Wellesley came via Sean McEwan, who had two and Parker Wood and Cal Jefferies, who contributed one each. Delhi forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up eight minors and one major for 31 minutes in penalty time. The Travellers surpassed its season average of 21.0 penalty minutes per game. Delhi was led by Colin Van Daele, who scored the team's only goal. Van Daele scored 3:28 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Delhi. Nevin Guenther assisted on the tally. Brayden Bruce rejected 16 shots on goal for the Applejacks. Wellesley registered two goals on five power play opportunities. For the Applejacks, Tysen Willemsen was ejected from the game.
