A hat trick by Brady Wheelans was the highlight in Mounties' 7-0 win against the Delhi Travellers. Wheelans notched his first tally 9:45 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:45 into the first and at 9:32 into the third.The Paris Mounties were boosted by Zach Shompe, who turned in a shutout with 31 saves. Shompe certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.33 entering the contest. Paris' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Delhi power plays. The Mounties featured an improved defense during the game. Paris allows 2.3 goals per game. The Mounties' offense rang up 42 shots on Delhi's net. Paris bested its season scoring average. The Mounties average 4.5 goals per game. Paris additionally got points from Brett Wilson, who also registered one goal and one assist, Clayton Chalmers, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Gregg Tucci, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Paris also got a goal from Scott Sippel as well. In addition, Paris received assists from Brodie Smith, who had three, Matthew Small, Tye Calder, and Alex Daley, who each chipped in one, and Brett Banks and Mitchell Harvey, who contributed two each. Paris was unable to stop the Travellers from sending pucks towards the net, and Delhi eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. The Mounties incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For Paris, Zach Taylor was ejected from the game. Patrick Tanner made 35 saves for the Travellers on 42 shots. Delhi incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
