Huntsville falls to Orillia in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Orillia Terriers' Jacob Beard scored 2:23 into overtime to beat the Huntsville Otters, 4-3 (OT).

Beard was all over the ice for Orillia, as he had two goals in the win.

The Terriers kept Huntsville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Hunter Ferguson made 38 saves on 42 shots.

Orillia also got points from Mathew White, who also registered one goal and one assist. Orillia also got a goal from Kyle Taylor as well. In addition, Orillia received assists from Ty Traynor, who had two and Gordie Weiss, Garret Franzin, and Matt Clifford, who each chipped in one.

The Otters forced Orillia goalie Weiss to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Huntsville was helped by Nathan Zantingh, who grabbed one goal. Zantingh scored 12:09 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Riley Vogels picked up the assist. Huntsville additionally got points from Corey Miller, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jake McIntyre also scored for Huntsville. Other players who recorded assists for Huntsville were Jesse Houlton, Sam King, and Evan Lade, who contributed one each.

Gordie Weiss made 38 saves for the Terriers on 41 shots. Orillia incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Otters incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
