Hunter Ferguson stood on his head and made 32 saves to lead the Huntsville Otters to a 2-1 victory over the Caledon Golden Hawks.

Caledon's power play was ineffective against Huntsville's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Otters were paced by Myles York, who registered one goal. York scored 6:05 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Huntsville. Jamie Halnan assisted on the tally.

Huntsville excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in eight chances. The Otters' offense operated below their season average. Huntsville puts an average of 4.2 pucks into the net per game.

Josh Zantingh also scored for Huntsville. Other players who recorded assists for Huntsville were Elliott Lade and Evan Wilding, who each chipped in one.

The Golden Hawks could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Caledon averages 3.1 goals per game. The Otters were unable to stop the Golden Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Caledon eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

The Golden Hawks were led by Derek Czech, who scored the team's only goal. Czech scored 16:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Caledon. Michael Andrews picked up the assist.

Huntsville incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Sam Procopio rejected 27 shots on goal for Caledon. The Golden Hawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
