Jake Norton made 33 saves to complete the shutout and led the Midland Flyers to a 2-0 win against the Penetang Kings. Penetang's power play was ineffective against Midland's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Flyers were paced by Jake Evans, who grabbed one goal. Evans scored on the power play 3:39 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Midland. Midland had gained a power play chance when Nate Archer was whistled for too many men. Bobby Logan assisted on the tally. The Flyers stifled the Kings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
