The Erin Shamrocks could not hold down the Huntsville Otters, and Otters erased a three-goal deficit en route to a 6-5 win. Huntsville never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Otters trailed 4-1 after a goal by Erin's Pat Reay at 9:05 in the first period. Huntsville tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Jesse Houlton at 10:37 in the second period. The Otters got the game winner at 12:59 in the second period on a goal by Houlton. Jamie Halnan had two goals to lead Huntsville to victory. Halnan scored at 5:42 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Erin and again while 6:19 into the third to make the score 6-4 Huntsville. The Otters' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Erin power plays. Huntsville also got points from Jay Dix, who also registered one goal and one assist, Houlton, who also tallied one goal and two assists, and Josh Zantingh, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Huntsville also got a goal from Corey Miller as well. In addition, Huntsville received assists from Myles York, who had three and Evan Wilding, Jake McIntyre, and Brendan Fitter, who each chipped in one. The Shamrocks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 12 chances. Erin was helped by Adam Gibson, who had three goals. Erin additionally got points from Chris Grenier, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Erin came via Ben Nicolucci, who had one, Tyler Topham, who had four, and Tyler Nieuwendyk and Liam Adamson, who each chipped in two. Huntsville took out Connor Christianson after he had made five saves and installed Hunter Ferguson in goal, where he finished with 16 saves and the win. The Otters incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Mark Terry made 24 saves for the Shamrocks on 30 shots. Erin incurred 34 minutes in penalty time with 12 minors.
