The Alliston Hornets' Jamie Bennett scored 3:41 into overtime to beat the Penetang Kings, 3-2 (OT). Alliston was paced by Bennett, who finished with one goal and one assist. The Hornets stifled Penetang's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Alliston did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Hornets average 5.3 goals per game. Alliston's offense rang up 41 shots on the Kings' net. Others who scored for Alliston included Nick Arcan and Nic Archibald, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Alliston were Payton Dunlop and Jacob Tuck, who contributed one each. Penetang excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Kings were helped by Braeden Dorion (APM), who tallied one goal. Dorion (APM) scored 6:39 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Hayden Cole picked up the assist. Penetang also got a goal from Jordan Schwartz as well. In addition, Penetang received assists from Brandon Frandsen and Matt Meher, who each chipped in one. TJ Sherwood made 28 saves for the Hornets on 30 shots. Alliston incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Adam Redgate recorded 38 saves for Penetang. The Kings incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
