The Stayner Siskins survived a determined comeback attempt by the Schomberg Cougars on the way to a 4-3 win. A goal by Cooper Martin put Stayner up 4-2 in the third period, but Schomberg pulled to within one on Tanner Smith's tally 19:24 into the third period. The Siskins were sparked by Martin, who had one goal. Martin scored 9:29 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Stayner. Quinten Bruce picked up the assist. Stayner's offense rang up 39 shots on the Cougars' net. The Siskins had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just one goal on nine chances. Stayner struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 48 penalty minutes for 10 opposing power plays. Stayner additionally got points from Ricky Darrell, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Stayner included Dylan Bursey and Brandon Watson, who scored one goal each. More assists for Stayner came via Jamieson Buck, Dakota Hynes, Derick Robertson, and Christian Papineau, who each chipped in one. Schomberg could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 44 minutes in penalties during the game. Schomberg also had goals scored by Ian Reid and Brandon Yorke, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Schomberg were Nathan Sinclair, who had two and Derek Neilly, Francesco Corona, Brandon Savoy, and Tristan Joseph, who contributed one each. Xavier Portelance made 23 saves for the Siskins on 26 shots. The Cougars' Taylor Ewart stopped 35 shots out of the 39 that he faced.
