Sean Healy gave the Stayner Siskins a 6-5 (OT) victory over the Erin Shamrocks when he scored 3:30 into the extra period. Stayner overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Siskins fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Erin's Adam Anderson at 7:31 in the first period. Stayner tied things up at 5-5 on a goal by Brandon Watson at 30 seconds in the third period. Watson had two goals and one assist to lead the Siskins. Watson scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 14:35 into the second period to make the score 4-4. Stayner had taken the advantage when the Shamrocks' Cameron DeFazio got sent off for roughing. Watson's next tally on the power play made the score 5-5 with 19:30 left in the third period. Quinten Bruce assisted on the tally. The Siskins forced Erin goalie Mark Terry to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. Stayner found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Siskins average 3.6 goals per contest. Penalties took their toll on Stayner, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals. Stayner additionally got points from Ryan Hyndman, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Stayner included Isaac Swaton (AP) and Ricky Darrell, who scored one goal each. More assists for Stayner came via Griffin Pearce and Derick Robertson, who contributed one each. The Shamrocks forced Siskins' goaltenders to work between the pipes, firing 37 shots and forcing 32 saves. Kyler Marklinger (AP) made 13 stops and Trevor Bloch made 19. The defensemen of Erin were also effective in the Siskins' zone, and came away with three goals. The Shamrocks were helped by Connor Mortimer, who grabbed one goal. Mortimer scored on the power play 9:59 into the second period to make the score 3-3. A unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Kyle Lafreniere had put Erin on the power play. Tyler Nieuwendyk picked up the assist. Erin also got points from Tyler Topham, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Erin also had goals scored by Ben Nicolucci and Darcy Hackett, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Erin were Mike Nicolucci, who had two and Jack Ford, Adam Gibson, Joe Heath, and Josh Tremblay, who each chipped in one. Stayner incurred 32 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Mark Terry made 40 saves for the Shamrocks on 46 shots. Erin incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
