Caledon blows out Erin, 5-1

The Erin Shamrocks had trouble finding ways to stop the Caledon Golden Hawks, which beat Shamrocks, 5-1.

Caledon was led by goalie Sam Procopio, who finished with 30 saves while allowing one goal. Procopio certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.48 entering the contest.

Christian Bonaldi was all over the ice for the Golden Hawks, as he grabbed two goals in the win. Bonaldi scored at 8:26 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Caledon and again while 15 seconds into the third to make the score 5-1 Caledon.

Erin was unable to stop Caledon from sending pucks towards the net, and the Golden Hawks eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Caledon additionally got points from Michael Andrews, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Caledon included Steve Zeppieri and Ryan Mouser, who each put in one. More assists for Caledon came via Nick Figliomeni, who had one and Adam Breen, Chris Smith, and Cody Forgione, who each chipped in two.

The Shamrocks forced Caledon goalie Procopio to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Erin was led by Brad Ranson, who scored the team's only goal. Ranson scored 7:57 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Caledon.

The Golden Hawks incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Mark Terry made 30 saves for the Shamrocks on 35 shots. Erin incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
