Craig Robinson was all over the ice for the Penetang Kings, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Penetang's 7-3 win over the Schomberg Cougars. Robinson's tallies came on the power play at 7:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 14:18 into the first to make the score 3-2 Penetang.The Kings' penalty kill excelled, as Penetang gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays. The Kings forced Schomberg's goalies to work all game long, taking 35 shots and forcing 28 saves. Taylor Ewart made 20 stops and Alex Traikos made eight. Penetang stifled the Cougars' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Kings surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Penetang averages 4.8 goals per game. The Kings could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Penetang also got points from Nate Archer, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Jordan Schwartz, who also had one goal and one assist, and Matt Meher, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Penetang included Brandon Frandsen and Ryan Hackett, who each put in one. More assists for Penetang came via Hayden Cole, who had one and Kyle Burns, Kaden Shearer, and Jessey Moreau, who each chipped in two. Schomberg was helped by Tanner Smith, who tallied one goal. Smith scored 19:09 into the first period to make the score 3-3. Brandon Savoy provided the assist. Schomberg also had goals scored by Matthew Hudgin and Brandon Yorke, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Schomberg were Kiefer McIntosh, John Gage, and Kevin Sarrazin, who contributed one each. Adam Redgate recorded 26 saves for Penetang. The Kings registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Penetang ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Moreau was ejected from the game. The Cougars incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
