Despite having to fight off several power plays, the Toronto Patriots Patriots were able to defeat the Burlington Cougars, 4-1. Toronto Patriots was sparked by Quinn Syrydiuk, who registered one goal. Syrydiuk scored 16:34 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Patriots. Others who scored for Toronto Patriots included Cody Gagnon, Dede Cato, and Nick Geiser, who each put in one. More assists for Toronto Patriots came via Ryan Burnsteel and Niko Kovachis, who each chipped in one. Burlington stifled the Patriots' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Cougars were led by Jack Jeffers, who scored the team's only goal. Jeffers scored on the power play 12:00 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Burlington had gotten the advantage when Toronto Patriots' Kovachis was sent off for cross checking. Nathan Fiorino assisted on the tally. The Patriots incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors. The Cougars incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
