Huge game by Darge boosts Adelaide Adrenaline over CBR Brave, 5-2

Wehebe Darge was all over the ice for Adelaide Adrenaline, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Adelaide Adrenaline's 5-2 win over CBR Brave.

Darge scored at 26 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Adelaide Adrenaline and again while 10:05 into the third to make the score 5-2 Adelaide Adrenaline.

CBR Brave's power play was ineffective against Adelaide Adrenaline's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Adelaide Adrenaline's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven CBR Brave power plays. Adelaide Adrenaline's offense was clicking better than usual and put 38 shots on goal during the game, better than the 2.7 shots per game it averages. Adelaide Adrenaline could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Adelaide Adrenaline additionally got points from Greg Oddy, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Adelaide Adrenaline also got a goal from Darren Corstens as well. In addition, Adelaide Adrenaline received assists from Niko Suoraniem, who had two, Brett Liscomb, who had three, and Josef Rezek and Joshua Harding, who contributed one each.

By firing 22 shots on goal, CBR Brave exceeded the 2.6 shots it averages per game this year.

CBR Brave was helped by Cory Wilkie, who finished with one goal. Wilkie scored 2:26 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Stephen Blunden provided the assist. Ryan Johnson also scored for CBR Brave. Other players who recorded assists for CBR Brave were Aaron Clayworth, who had one and Anton Kokkonen, who had two.

Adelaide Adrenaline's Mike Will stopped 20 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Adelaide Adrenaline registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Petri Pitkanen made 33 saves for CBR Brave on 38 shots. CBR Brave incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
