Dunnville downs Dundas in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Dunnville Jr. Mudcats' Josh Meeuwse scored 41 seconds into overtime to beat the Dundas Blues, 4-3 (OT).

Dunnville was paced by Meeuwse, who tallied one goal.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 8:45 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Others who scored for Dunnville included Evan Huckalo, Mack Steele, and Luke Rowe, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Dunnville were Jeff May, who had two and Matt Dolan, Steven Czepek, Davis Hart, Damien Lalonde, Chad Springer, and Dan Arrowsmith, who each chipped in one.

Dundas could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 23 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Blues were helped by Alex Aquin, who grabbed one goal. Aquin scored 10:17 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dunnville. Jake Bain picked up the assist. Dundas also had goals scored by Nick McMullen and Matt Johnson, who scored one goal each. In addition, Dundas received assists from Ray Thompson, who had one and Braxton Andrews, who had two.

Josh Rosettani rejected 20 shots on goal for the Jr. Mudcats. Dunnville totaled 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major and went 2-for-6 on the power play. The Jr. Mudcats ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Steele was ejected from the game. Brock Novak made 25 saves for Dundas on 29 shots. The Blues registered one goal on four power play opportunities. For Dundas, Thomas Dowling was ejected from the game.
